The Volkswagen Camper with a boat on its roof!

Volkswagen Palomino Conversion

Right well we are still trying to find out more about the Volkswagen Palomino as we think it is one of the best conversions ever made. As far as we can tell these conversions where made by Heritage Motorhomes between 1979 and 1986.  Please tell us if we are wrong.

Here are some more pictures and the T5 sales brochure.  You can also download the complete T25 sales brochure here.

hi folks u are correct in stating that the palimino conversion was done by heritage moptorhomes79-86,but they did not start life there the blue prints and first palamino conversions were done by a company called bariban of newton abbot in devon, the original and in my opinion even better conversion, was carried out to the vw lt 28 and mercedes 206d also,Bariban completed around 200 conversions between 76 and mid 1979 before being sold to the london company heritage motorhomes,so if u have a late 70s palamino, before august 1979,it will be a luxurious Bariban conversion, there trademark is the boat roof and usually an overcab exterior luggage rack, these and the later ones are supurb conversions and becoming highly collectable, regards Antony.ps i have the origanol palamino sales brochure from bariban.
