Hi, this looks like a cool forum. Name's Luke, live in the UK/Norfolk.

I've been wanting to get a camper for yonks and yonks, think I'm about two years away now, so far but so close. Anyway, I want to buy a camper and do it up, mostly interior, to fit my traveling needs.

I was wondering how many people her has brought vans from ebay and how reliable they are, I know they would differ alot. Say if I was to buy one off ebay and did it up a little, to the best of my ability, how far could it go before it may break down. I know that sounds stupid, but I have a classic mini, and I've had a few problems with it. I wanna be able to travel the WORLD! well europe any way.

Thanks for reading my ramble and look forward to some chatting, hopefuly.

THANKS!

Well you wil have to be lucky to get one that doesnt give you any problems. Lets not forget that they are between 19 and 50 years old so they nearly all require a bit of patenice.

As for travelling europe then you should purchase a van some six moths before you go so any small problems can be fixed. You will get to know your van and will eventually trust it for long trips.

But they are not very good for fuel consumption. Most vans get around 20MPG max

Cheers
