Whuzzup with the £ 150 + prices on the clocks?
My bus has been converted from 6V to 12V ... the clock
does not work (it's labelled 6V), but there is no wire running to it.
Can it be tested with a common 6V battery? If it works, do bus guys swap, or
do I need to try and sell it and then buy a 12V clock?
Or, can they be rewired for 12V?

Not sure on the prices, or if you can test with a six volt, but you do not have to get rid of it. You can pick up a voltage drop. It is a device that has an input of 12v and an output of 6v. If you install it between your clock and the power source, you should be set. You can get these from most big VW parts places, rather inexpensive. Good Luck |

What I did for a broken clock in my 71Deluxe was take it to a clock repair shop and rebuild it with new gutz.Basically they just kept the housing,face,and hands upgraded to a quartz movement,battery operated unit.The first plase I went gave me the phone to the shop that fixed it. |
