Hi everyone...this is my first post so here goes.
I've just bought a T25 with a white fiberglass roof. The body is also white. I plan to fix the various rust etc and then respray it.
What I need to know is, is there anyone out there with advice on spraying the roof...(and don't say don't !)

I have a HVLP spray machine with gravity fed pressurised gun...I've just sprayed my Triumph Spitfire in metallic green and it looks really good...the point is that I'm not afraid to do it all myself.

I've never sprayed onto fiberglass and any info regarding paint types would be useful. One more thing - I'm not able to spray two pack due to being in a confined space etc so it's going to be acrylic for the metal and what ever the equivalent is for the roof.

So what is the equivalent paint called ?

Many thanks.

I sprayed mine about 8 years ago and it has held up well through frigid winters and very hot summers. Here's what I did. First,
the top had many pits and was almost black from tree sap, etc. So, I sanded with wet or dry sandpaper and rinsed with water from a garden hose as I went along. Then after dry, I sprayed the entire top with dupont primer surfacer (this filled all the little pits). Then I wet sanded again. Next, I sprayed with two coats of a white DuPont acrylic enamel. Extremely pleased with the results; it looked like new.
