Is there any fuel in it? Is there a spark at the points,at the plugs? is it wet with condensation through sitting around?,spray dist cap and leads with wd40,check all wires on and tight,at coil etc,is the points gap ok? take out the plugs and clean or renew them, is there an immobiliser fitted? could be faulty? Choke working ok?
If it still dosent run, tow the thing round the block!
Remember, its only a machine..... we are the bosses!

Hi
Sorry chicken I didnt realise anyone had replied. I have managed to get it going by doing some of your suggestions, such as clean the plugs and I sprayed the points with WD40. It has started since a couple of times but it doesnt run very well.

Now get that workshop manual out and do an engine service, plugs, points, air filter etc, get all the gaps right ,it can make all the difference, good luck! chicken???!!!

Perhaps it would be easier if you change the spark plugs and the points alltogether. Its only gonna cost you a tenner and you will then be able to discount those as the problem
