I noticed this description on EBay for a T25 camper and just had to put it in here
Description
You see, there are two ways you can tackle life, you can plod along, grab yerself a 9 to 5, pension and those nice warm big pants that are on sale in tesco's, or.....
grab life hard by the knackers, throw on yer finest tiger thong and suck up every single inch of fun and excitement that you can squeeze out of it!!!
ask yerself this, when was the last time you did something for the first time?
so, we need a list, go get yourself a pen n paper, no its ok, i can wait................
..............there's a pen in the bottom draw........................got it? cool.......
right then, sunglasses, gimp mask, cottage cheese, pink socks, trombone, the godfather trilogy, and... hmmm... whats missing?
A VEE DUBYA CAMPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
splitty? far too expensive, bay? cool but need something a touch bigger, with a few more refinements... yup, that leaves just one bus.. the type25!
with coil springs, water cooled engine, fully built in cooker, grill, sink, drainer, fridge, two! yes you read me right audience, TWO double beds!!! 240v hookup, table, tons of storage and the ultimate item on this bus that sets it apart from the rest on ebay? A HARD POPTOP!!! hang on? hard poptop? eh? well, what i mean is this, you either get a tintop bus, which you cant stand up in, a hightop, which guzzles juice and bobbles about like a weeble wobble in motorway winds, or a poptop, now, poptops are cool, but can either leak or get a bit gusty on a windy night, so wouldnt it be cool if there was a poptop with hard sides so its as solid as a hard top but can be lowered to save fuel, and get you under those low bridges in town? well wish no more folks, this one's got it!!!
so all in all, this camper has got everything you'll need to live out your touring and roadtrip dreams! ever wanted to see the colusseum on a sunny day in rome? or the eiffel tower by moonlight? maybe the romance of venice? well, its all possible! all you need is a camper, a change of undercrackers and the guts to say what the hell, i only live once so lets go for it!
so, your new globe trotter? well, he's an '84 vw t25, 4 berth (yep, room for you AND your lil bubba's!), with all the cookin', sleepin', washin', and everything else abilities, and the coolest poptop you've ever seen! ooh and a towbar!
so, any problems to wee on my cornflakes?
well, in a word? yes.
its a project, you see it goes like this, the previous owner was tootlin' along one day when it stalled, and wouldnt restart, so not bein' a mechanic they took it to a friend (who was) and asked them to sort it, unfortunately the friend decided it needed a new engine fitting, so found a good second hand motor and bolted it in, wired it up, and, well, that was it, the owner ran out of cash and room, so had to sell, well being a man to look many a horse in the mouth (even the gift ones!) spotted it and decided to buy it and head off into the sunset, so, got it home, rolled up my sleeves and............................................
a '66 split came along at an embarrassing price, remember what i said about gawping at horses?
so unfortunately the trusty 'ol t25 is up for grabs.
so whats up with it? well it aint no show winner, but has absolutely everything you'd need for a cool holiday, and even though the body has seen better days and has dents here n there and the odd bit of rust, its still a veedub!!! (and a lot better than some wrecks ive seen at the shows!) and on top of that, dents can be pulled out, and rust can be tidied up, but there's nothing worse than a rotten vw bus, lying on yer back in the rain trying to weld up floorpans aint fun, which is where this bus comes into its own! its solid, proper solid underneath, you see, when it came off the road with the engine snag, it had only just been mot'd! so it has only done 107 miles since its last mot! so in theory, the only things that need sortin' are stuff thats stood, you know, quick service, brakes etc, but basically a few hours work from a chap who knows what they're doin' and this baby will be ready for summer!!!
so just a quick rundown of what i can see? well, the brakes are pretty seized on from standing a while, but must be in good shape due to its last mot only being 107 miles ago! so i'd probably take the disks, pads and drums off, clean em all up, copper grease em and put them back on, then i'd service the engine (it does start but due to it running on old fuel wont run too well, so a new tank of go-go juice and it should be sorted!) and finally give it an overall check, then take it to the friendly mot man and cross yer fingers!!!
so for the folk who didn't want to waste the the last 10 minutes of their life readin' my ridiculous drizzle, i'll recap....
vw camper, no tax or ticket, starting at the price of a curly wurly.
buy my camper and become great like johnny bravo.
the nasty, 'orrible legal bit.... this is a legal auction, so ya bid ya buy, ive described it to the best of my ability and your more than welcome to come for a brew n a view, oh and no munch puppets tryin' to scam me, ive dealt with, chewed up and spat out much worse so dont bother tryin', and because its a project its gonna HAVE TO BE COLLECTED BY A TRAILER OR RECOVERY TRUCK! i know it goes without saying, but some people still think its sensible to try driving home things that aren't roadworthy! now, i can get hold of a van and trailer to help deliver it if you cant sort anything (i know, im a helpful chap!) so mail me if im needed, oh and due to idiots biddin' n not buyin', ive gotta ask for a £100 deposit into my paypal account straight after the auction ends, but on the upside, i had a poo this morning that resembled elvis........
