Just bought a '79 VW camper bus (not Westy). There's one weird thing about this configuration, and I've seen it in two of these vans now, so it must have been on purpose. The weird thing is that the line from the propane tank comes up and stops underneath a jump seat behind the front passenger seat. There is nothing to connect it to, either stove or heater.
So what is going on here? Someone speculated that it was possible to get a stove setup that would replace the jump seat. Seems kind of a waste of space, considering there is a sink, fridge and fairly large counter (for a camper) on the left side of the interior.
I'm very seriously thinking about drastically remodeling the interior, but basically, I'd like to have everything that comes with the vehicle functioning. Any advice or explanation would be very appreciated.

I do belive that the stove was probably an option and that the seat was the cheapest way to go I hope that helps |
