Volkswagen Camper & Bus Export Codes indicate the country that the vehicle was intended for sale. Sometimes there is no code which suggests that the vehicle was for sale in Germany only. However, this might not always have been the case and as far as Class Campers can determine some Volkswagon Buses have German related codes as well. We believe that if there are no codes then it is likley that you bus was made before 1969.

Sometimes the export codes of Volkswagen Campers & Buses consist of numbers, or a combination of numbers and letters. The numbers usually represent either Volkswagen Dealers, distribution centers or large internal (Germany), customers that ordered direct from Volkswagen such as the emergency services. The letters are allways in sets of two and represent the Export code for the destination country. So below we have included the Export Codes, Dealer Codes,and Major Internal Customers.
